Austin joined the IKAR board in 2015 and is involved in the real estate development committee. His first IKAR moment was in 2009, when Tova, his now-wife, suggested that they find a shul home. It was the coffee and permission to schmooze at shul that first attracted him to IKAR, and since he married a Rabbinical student, he knew that those things would continue to lure him to services each week as well as the other wonderful qualities of the community. Austin is the owner of a property management company for residential and commercial properties throughout Los Angeles. He is a graduate of UCSB with a B.A. in Global Studies with a Middle East emphasis. Austin and Tova have a daughter named Eve and his favorite role in life is being her Abba.
