Kathleen Levin lives in New York City. She is the immediate past chairperson of the American Jewish World Service board of trustees and has been on the AJWS board since 2007. During her time as chair, she oversaw the implementation of a major organizational strategic plan and the transition from a long time executive director to a new CEO and President.
Prior to her move to New York in 2006, Kathleen lived in Los Angeles for many years, where she served on the board and executive committee of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles and the chairperson of its government relations committee. She is a past chair of the American Jewish Congress Pacific Southwest Division and the Los Angeles Regional Family Planning Council. She also worked for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the California State Senate and the U.S. Congress.
