The truest act of lovingkindness (Hesed Shel Emet) is to care directly for the dead, guiding their bodies and souls each back to their source. Our community is taking this on in a serious way and participating in a counter-cultural effort to make space for the whole range of grief and to care for each other in mourning and in death. By doing so we are reclaiming core Jewish values that will bring healing to our community and the world.
