Hesed

Our community is at its strongest when we care for one another in times of need. Our hesed (loving kindness) network of volunteers supports IKAR members and their families in times of loss, hardship, and celebration.

Click here to see what Hesed is doing for our community in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.

With hesed, IKAR members deliver care packages, Shabbat baskets, cooked meals, love and care across the city. Join the hesed network in your neighborhood and help support our community.

Did you recently have a baby? Have a fall? Are you grieving or struggling with an illness? We would love to support you through this chapter. Email [email protected] to request heed.

If you own gently used baby clothing or supplies (cribs, bottles, etc.) or home medical equipment (commodes, walkers, shower chairs, etc.) and would like to lend or give them to a fellow IKARite please register them here. If you need any of these kinds of items, you may view the list of available items and make a request here.

If this is a rabbinic emergency, please call 323-852-3718, or email: [email protected].
