Our community is at its strongest when we are able to care for one another in times of need. Our hesed network of volunteers supports IKAR members and their families in times of both loss and celebration.

Through hesed, we deliver care packages, Shabbat baskets, cooked meals, love, care and conversation across the city. We won’t be deterred by rain, snow, sleet or LA traffic. Join the hesed network in your neighborhood and help us keep that promise.

We know that some in our IKAR community have been impacted by the wildfires. We are here to help with meals, support, and any hesed  (loving-kindness) we can offer.
Please let us know. Call us: 323-852-3718, Email:

Our community is here for you. To give and get help for relief from the recent wildfires, please see this list of Jewish community resources (emergency housing, funds, counseling services, etc.).

Donations to help those impacted by the fires can be made to California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund (among other fire and general relief organizations).

If you are grieving or struggling with illness, or if you are celebrating a birth or a new love, we want to be there. That’s what community’s all about. Let us know how we can support you or anyone else in our community by emailing
