After many years as an active member of the IKAR community and a founding member of IKAR’s Leadership Council, Scott joined the board in 2009. Scott has been a leader in the planning, development, and implementation of IKAR’s innovative Minyan Tzedek program, designed to engage every member of IKAR in specific social justice projects. Professionally, Scott has worked in fundraising, planning, and community relations within the Jewish community for over a dozen years. He has worked for The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, and before that, was the Program Officer for the Righteous Persons Foundation, a charitable fund established by Steven Spielberg dedicated to the strengthening and revitalization of Jewish life in the United States. Scott holds a B.A. in American Studies from Stanford University, an M.A. in Jewish Communal Service from HUC, and a Masters in Social Work from USC. He is a fellow of the Selah Leadership Program through Jewish Funds for Justice.
