Lauren’s been a proud member of the IKAR community since she and her husband Aaron moved to L.A. in 2008. Within the first week of arriving in L.A. she’d experienced both an earthquake and services at IKAR and decided that one of those experiences was powerful enough to make up for the other.
She works a coach, facilitator, and consultant in Jewish education throughout L.A. and beyond. Lately she’s most excited about her work with the Teaching Israel Fellowship, which brings together Israel educators from different institutions to think deeply about their beliefs and assumptions about teaching Israel.
Lauren also serves on the board of the Consortium for Applied Studies in Jewish Education (CASJE) and has been an advisor in the past for the Network for Research in Jewish Education, the Jewish Women’s Archive, and Temple B’nai Brith in Boston.
Lauren and Aaron live in Santa Monica with their children Liora and Micah.
