Austin’s first IKAR moment was in 2009, when Tova, his now-wife, suggested that they find a shul home. It was the coffee and permission to schmooze at shul that first attracted him to IKAR, and since he married a rabbinical student, he knew that those things – along with the other wonderful qualities of the community — would continue to lure him to services each week.
Austin is the owner of a property management company for residential and commercial properties throughout Los Angeles. He is a graduate of UCSB with a B.A. in Global Studies with a Middle East emphasis. Austin and Tova have a daughter named Eve and his favorite role in life is being her Abba.
