Nosherize

Nosherize (NAH-sher-IZE) verb

One of our treasured traditions at IKAR is to come together as a community, and eat. Sponsor an IKAR gathering, and support the irrefutable Jewish notion that everything goes better with food. Whether it’s an oneg, a Kiddush lunch, or a pre-musaf mini-muffin binge, we can’t do it without your help.

When and why can I nosherize?

In honor of your friends and family for their birthdays, graduations, arrivals of a baby, auf rufs or just because they are fantastic people. Nosherize in honor of your own birthday, anniversary, or new job. Who else might want to nosherize? Your parents, family, aunts, uncles, boss, your employer...there is no limit to the number of ways that you can help feed the IKAR community spirit.

All menus are for 125 guests (a typical Shabbat attendance). We have a number of menu options available for varying tastes and price points. It is also possible to customize a menu with our in-house caterer, Kensington Caterers, as well as with Bibi's Bakery. Finally, you may nosherize a cake from Hansen's or an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins.

*All nosherizing packages also provide coffee and tea, motzi/kiddush, water/sparkling water, basic dessert (fruit and cookies), and our compostable plates, utensils, cups, and napkins. Staff assistance setting up, serving, and cleaning up the meal is also included.

*Please note that if you are bringing additional guests for a special occasion (auf ruf, baby naming, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, etc.), there are additional costs per each 10 extra guests. If you are planning an event with 50+ additional guests, there are additional staffing/security/rental fees.
